I saw this book jacket somewhere on the internet yesterday - it looks like a really cute book, next time I go to the library I will see if they have a copy.......

I know a lot of things - Ann & Paul Rand

We posted about Ann and Paul Rand here on Stickers and Stuff before. This book is another classic by the husband and wife team, I love that happy stripy mushroom. This book is in the process of being reprinted by Chronicle, you can order a copy here or if you can't wait you love the old originals you can pick one up here.

Umbrella - Taro Yashima

I love these drawings by Japanese illustrator Taro Yashima. The story is simple and very sweet too. You can pick up a used old copy of the book here or get a new one here.

The Wanderer

I got this book out from the library the other day only because I liked the cover, I tried and tried to read it but I just couldn't get into it but I did enjoy looking at the delightful cover on by bedside table for a few nights! It's by Alvin Lustig who we have posted about here before.

Someone sent me this picture the other day - I think its really cool but it also looks totally fake it is supposedly made up of 18,000 men in Iowa .

I Read Signs - Tom Funk

I am a big fan of signs and if we see a good one when we are cycling or driving around then I make my husband stop so I can jump out of the car (or flip the tandem bike) leg it back and take some photos.

A Tail is a Tail - Katherine Mace and Abner Graboff

This might be one of my favorite Abner Graboff books. I love the printing job and the fun scrawly animals.

The Night Before Christmas - Leonard Weisgard

I know the holiday season is long gone but hey we have a load of snow on the ground, so I thought I would share with you this beautiful book illustrated by one of our favorites Leonard Weisgard. I love the silver birch trees and the blue/green snow.
