Pen, Pencil, Brush - Harvey Weiss

Pen, Pencil, Brush by Harvey Weiss. There is something really lovely about those old books teaching kids how to draw. This one by Harvey Weiss shows examples from other great artists, like Paul Klee, Maurice Sendak alongside drawings from the author. My favorite illustrations are the lions heads (top image) made with thumbprints and type etc.....

Dick Bruna stamp

It is a holiday today! But here's a few posts anyway.............
This was not from the Dick Bruna store, I picked this postcard up years ago from one of those free postcard stands, I was living in London at the time. The only info on the back is Grass Roots Brixton.
LOVE that stamp.

Dick Bruna postacards

I thought I bought a few more postcards than this, but we were on a cycling trip (London - Venice) and am always trying to keep the load as light as possible!
I love the ice-cream one and had it above my desk for ages, it rained a lot on the trip so I guess that's why I got the cute twins with the umbrella.
