CocoaVino

Not only does the packaging look incredible, the chocolates also look divine, check out the other goodies at CocoaVino , there are also some interesting pictures of the making process.

The Hungry Moon - illustrations by Carlos Mérida

I came across this book the other day at the library, I think it was the retro mustard colored spine that kind of jumped out at me! The illustrations are by Carlos Mérida you can see some more of his paintings here.
I found one copy for sale on ebay which has a really beautiful dust jacket.

Whom Shall I Marry? Arnold Spilka

Whom Shall I Marry written and illustrated by Arnold Spilka. The ink drawings are the sweetest & I like the pink pastel and how freely it was used.
There are one or two copies available here

The Day the Cow Sneezed - James Flora

If I was ever going to end stickers and stuff (don't worry I have no plans to do that) this would be the post I could end it on, I think this book by James Flora is perfection. I could look at it again and again and just never ever get tired of it.
I LOVE the endpapers.
Somebody ought to republish it.

Henri's Walk to Paris - Saul Bass

Saul Bass is one of my all time favorite designers, I love how he made the illustrations in this book so graphically pleasing, each page would make a perfect poster. And his colors are just fantastic.

Puff - William Wondriska

after doing this post and seeing this post about Puff, I really wanted to get my hands on a copy of the book. Don't get me wrong I LOVE the internet but sometimes there is nothing quite like holding some printed papers in your hands, and these were particularly lovely!

ffffound images - i likey

above image by Gabi Beltran

some images I came across recently on ffffound some of them I couldnt follow the originator for the artwork, which is a bummer.
I especially liked the top image - the only thing it said was 'wireless' does anyone know anything more?

Tiny Buildings

I first saw these Tiny Buildings a while ago on this post over at Swiss Miss, I forgot all about them and then saw this image on ffffound at the weekend.
Other people have had some fun making their own, so Sharon from Tiny Buildings started a flickr group where you can check them out.
