Veronica written and illustrated by Roger Duvoisin. This is such a sweet book - the pages alternate between full color spreads and pen and ink - black and white drawings. The endpapers are so cute and beautiful - top image. Get a copy here.
We have this book! It's actually a "2 books in one" version... the type that if you flip it over and around, there's another book (The Three Little Horses).
I accidentally got Veronica on the back of the three little horses, it was the best surprise, Veronica is just wonderful. I love the illustration where she has eaten a market stall and everyone is peering into her mouth.

This is just too cute, another one I don't have, but obviously need to get! LOVE the illustration of her in the parking lot-so sweet!
