Beautiful illustrations by Charley Harper in this old cookbook Betty Crocker's dinner for two. My edition is from 1958. Looks like there are some here.
I will now be the proud owner of an original Charley Harper, cook book. Because of the high prices I've seen go for some of his other original books, I just made the assumption that his work was in demand, and finding an original would be a costly feat. But thankfully, I'm wrong.
Hey! I saw in your other post that you were recently in Cincinnati, so I have to mention [in case you ever come back] that there is an amazing mosaic mural by Charley Harper in the Federal Building downtown. My photos are here, and you can see it on page 304 of An Illustrated Life, if you happen to have that book.
How amazing is this...i am quite sure my mom had this cookbook and i used to colour in the illustrations..little did i know back then that i was embellishing a charley harper original...wonderful news..his illustrations are priceless...thanks for the heads up...i love your blog by the way

great find!
I have a 1958 copy of this book too, the illustrations are fantastic - I especially like the shopping trolleys.
So cool!
