See You in the New Year

This will be my last post this year, I am going to have some festive fun and take a couple of weeks off blogging and rest my weary wings like this lovely owl by J.P. Miller from the book The Wonderful House.
Wishing you all a very Happy Holiday and a fun and splendid New Year.

Miniatures - tilt shift photography

When I get a spare moment I want to have a go at doing this, making a photograph look like a miniature.
Here's a tutorial on how to have a go.
Have any of you had a go at doing this, do you have any good tips to share!?!

Pink Polka Dot Studio

pretty wintry fabric from Pink Polka Dot Studio.
Wouldn't it be cool to wrap up some gifts in a yard or two of this?

Okay so the artist is Monika Sosnowska.

J.P. Miller - hot and sunny

While it's blizzarding outside right now, I am dreaming of sunnier intense heat and dragging a mule through the desert, ermm maybe not, I am just thinking about warmer climes minus the mule.

Moominvalley Shop

Someone kindly left me a link on another Moomin post to let me know about the super cute Moominvalley Shop where you can stock up on all of your Moomin needs.
How sweet are the mugs and the little cases. Did anyone else grow up with the Moomins?
I loved them and I loved the voices in the animation.
