The 4th Plinth - Trafalgar Square - London

We went to England for a break and of course went to London for a while, I loved looking around all of the stores, it took my mind off my pink cast!
We did a few galleries, one of my favorite pieces of art was the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square.
Nelson's ship in a bottle is by Yinka Shonibare

I just got my cast taken off yeahhhhhh. Its lovely to have my thumb back!

City Museum - St Louis

We happened to be in St Louis recently so we visited the City Museum, if you are ever in the area then you absolutely must check this place out, its amazing and insane and incredible.
We climbed in, on and over everything - like those wire tubes you can see high up in the air and went down the 10 story slide etc. etc....

Mural by Christian Schmit

We were in Cincinnati recently (installing my husbands show - topographies by Stephen Cartwright). And had the chance to walk around the city and cross over the river into Kentucky to a really cute little neighborhood where I discovered these fantastic murals.
Here's a link to some better photos.
I really like the muted colors and sparse bits of color.

Monika Sosnowska - Bird Cage

After I posted this last week, it reminded me of this piece we saw at the Venice Biennale in 2007.
Sorry for my slackness in remembering who it was by or which pavilion it was in, leave a message if you know.
Okay so the artist is Monika Sosnowska.
- thanks Lisa
