Quick Dishes for the Woman in a Hurry



I do love rabbits and I have these two framed up in our kitchen.
They are from Quick Dishes for the Woman in a Hurry published by Culinary Arts Institute 1955

I took this picture in an Italian supermarket, we were on a bike tour so it was way to extravagant to buy a heavy bottle and carry it around for the rest of the trip!
I love the font and the colors and that it looks straight out the 50's.

Ground Meat cookbook



I really love this cookbook, (not for the recipes) of course for the illustrations.
I think its totally wacky how the animals are cooking other animals and enjoying the meaty smell from the oven!

We happened to be in St Louis recently so we visited the City Museum, if you are ever in the area then you absolutely must check this place out, its amazing and insane and incredible.
We climbed in, on and over everything - like those wire tubes you can see high up in the air and went down the 10 story slide etc. etc....

Story and illustrations by Utako Yamada, who is also the illustrator behind the tea shop Karel Capek where I could buy every tea tin and never use them because they are so cute.
